What To Expect Your 1st Visit At G.I.B.C.
& other commonly asked questions
When I 1st arrive, where do I go?
When you arrive, there is a big parking lot next to the building to park in. When you find a spot, you can enter in the doors at the front of the building on the street side. When you get inside you will be greeted by someone from our church with a warm welcome.
What are the services like?
A typical service will start with a word of prayer with congregational singing to follow from our hymnals. In between singing we go over announcements and events coming up throughout the next few months. Following the music, we will have a challenging, encouraging, practical biblical message preached by our Pastor from the Word of God and will close with a closing song and prayer to dismiss.
What about my children during the service?
Your children can stay with you in the service, we encourage it. We do have a nursey area that is for children 3 and under, but you can use it if you need to take your child out of the service for whatever reason. We just ask that you let someone know beforehand so we can easily assist and help you if needed.
What should I wear? Is there a dress standard?
There is no specific dress code for those that visit and attend our services. We want you to feel welcome, comfortable, and blessed on your visit. However, we teach and preach that our dress should honor the Lord and reflect the scriptures. You will see that our ministry leaders and many of our church family will dress in a more traditional "Sunday" dress for our church services.
Is there anything for my Teens/ Young Adults & Children?
Yes, there is! Thursday night, we have a time for the kids and teens before our bible study time from 6:15- 6:45 pm where they will have time to learn and grow with kids around their age. As we grow, we are looking at more things for them. For more information and questions, please reach out and let us know.
Are the services Live Streamed or recorded?
Yes, we do! We do live stream and record our service and bible study, but it is not available to the general public. It is typically used for people who are shut-ins, who have some physical limitations, and for those who are in the nursery and want to view the service but are not able to come up for it.
